Public green spaces are not only beneficial to us as individuals but offer other numerous benefits to society, and the environment. I chose to highlight the importance of these spaces in this video because it can shed light on their significance and encourage their preservation and expansion. As highlighted in the video, they contribute towards mental health and well-being. Studies have shown that spending time in nature can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. By showcasing the serene beauty and tranquility of these spaces in this project, the audience can be inspired to prioritise spending time outdoors for their mental health. I hope to portray that even for those that don't care for the environment, the enhancement that these spaces give urban areas can be appreicated. They provide a contrast to the concrete jungle that some of us are living amongst, adding colour, texture, and natural elements to the built environemnt. Through cinematography, this project showcases the beauty and uniqueness of Bute Park and Cefyn Onn. Moreover, public parks offer educational opportunities. They serve ourtdoor classrooms where people learn about ecology, gardening, and sustainable practices. By incorporating educational content through out guest narrator Alyssa, everyone can gain a deeper understanding of the importance of preserving these sapaces for future generations. There are also economic benefits to the presence of these spaces. They increase property values, attracting tourists and local businesses, just like The Secret Garden Cafe. Showcasing the economic benefits of investing in green infrastructure, the project can garner support from policymakers and stakeholders for further development and ,aintenance of these spaces. This video; from start to finish, is narrated by The Secret Garden Cafe owner, Alyssa. She highlights the importance of cooperating and helping Mother-nature, whilst using her space. This film also is an informative piece of media, as we get in insider story of how businesses in these spaces thrive, educating visitors - and also feeding them. Thus, fostering social cohesion and community resilience. They serve as gathering places where people from diverse backgrounds can come together, interact, and build relationships. By featuring the stories of individuals, and the sense of belonging they provide, the projectis highlighting their role in strengthening communities. I hope this video does the same thing, in helping you understand fully the importance of these spaces.
